Pakri island

Impressive limestone cliffs, giant boulders, remains of settlements from the Swedish era in Estonia

In the summer weekends there is a ship Ahti-11 making scheduled ticket fares from port at Paldiski (Lõunasadam) to the small island of Väike-Pakri.

Small islands Suur-Pakri and Väike-Pakri have been inaccessible to people for decades, though it only takes a short time to reach there by sea and there is a lot to discover.

Impressive limestone cliffs, giant boulders, remains of settlements from the Swedish era in Estonia (1561-1710), soviet military heritage… Islands of Pakri are part of the nature park, which was created to protect the rare geological objects and wildlife communities. Island’s pastures are hosting gorgeous beef cattle to keep views of the landscape open.

There is a possibility to pre-order catering from the local farm. You can also pre-order a sort of transportation service in the trailer of a tractor, or you can just rent a bike.

In July and August, departures take place every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. In September, departures take place on Saturdays.

From Paldiski: 10 a.m.
From Väike-Pakri: 4 p.m.
